Some PDFs are much larger and comprehensive.
- The Book of Random Table: Modern from dicegeeks is full of 48 d100 tables for modern era.
- For a different take, Sidequest Decks: Modern Crime, Spies, & Supers from Inkwell Ideas is a deck of 55 ideas for modern adventures.
- The Big Modern Bundle from Fish Wife Games is pricy, but does contain LOTS of titles, including 100 Abandoned Items for Motel Rooms, 100 Attic Finds, 100 Bystanders, 100 Office High Rice Occupants and 100 Subway Encounters.
- For a whole section of titles, Pink Dice Bag Publishing has a Modern section of random tables. One significant entry is Tome of Tables: Modern School. And also 200 Miscellaneous Business Names.
- From TLHP Games, Modern Cities Generator is a pay-what-you-want with 30 tables to detail your modern city.
Modern Solo Titles

There are a few solo titles for modern games.
- For a solo rpg in modern era, MDO Design has Elegy, where you try to survive the big city nights as a vampire.
- Sidequest Decks: Pulp Adventures! from Inkwell Ideas is a deck of 72 cards with quests inspired by the likes of India Jones, Tomb Raider and the Da Vinci Code.
- From Lame Mage Productions, Microscope by Ben Robbins lets you explore the history of a backwater town, thriving metropolis or ancient secret society.
- From Zadmar Games is a solo system and deck of cards called Tricube Tales. The cards are used to drive the narrative and tricube tales can be paired with most rpgs.
- Lost in the City by Joseph Fry is a gamebook set in a modern dystopian city. You can wander around the city, using coins, clues and items you pick up. The random element is coin flips and there are multiple endings.

- For a certain atmosphere, try 100 B-Movies playing at the Movie Theatre for all Modern RPGs from Grinning Skull Studios. Or 100 Dusty Paperbacks on an Abandoned Bookshelf.

- Grinning Skull Studios has a 100 Useless Items for all Modern RPGs to fill out things scavanged and looted.
- For a few d66 tables, Yaruki Zero Games has Ewen's Tables: Modern Random Events
- For what people are carrying, Polgarus Games has 120 Modern Pocket Contents. They also have 120 Modern Bag Contents, 120 Modern Bar and Nightclub Names and 120 Modern Tattoos.
- For social discord, try 100 Sights for a Modern Riot from Azukail Games, with appropriate events for many times of turmoil in a modern city.

- From Healing Fireball is Just Add Dice: 50 Modern Ship Cargos, but fairly detailed cargoes!
- The Book of Random Tables: 1960s-1970s from dicegeeks has 34 d100 tables from (USA-focused) pre-modern era.
- Pink Dice Bag Publishing has Tome of Tables: Speakeasies, with several tables for prohibition era.
- For espionage, Atelier Clandestin has a Spy Mission Generator with several tables.
- 100 Seeds of Adventure Involving Aliens from Doppelgänger Publishing has plot hooks and possible adventure for modern day. With aliens.
- The Portal Tarot by Larcenous Designs is a set of tarot cards with explanation on the back, designed for RPGs.
Modern Generators

Characters are a major draw for modern, with RanGen having the Quick Character Generators, supplemented by a Love Interest Generator that adds important details. And a Pet Generator if needed!
As an alternative Fake Name Generator will provide a characters details, based on real-world country, and This Person Does Not Exist can provide a generated photo. For a briefer generator, 7th Sanctum has a General Character Generator.
For real world names, Fantasy Name Generators has many options separated by continent, under the 'Realm Names' header. For something quite different it also has a whole category of 'Pop Culture' generators, including Marvel Names and Harry Potter.
For a vehicle, This Automobile Does Not Exist can give a picture, and RanGen a Vehicle Name. And for somewhere to stay or live, This Rental Does Not Exist give a made up place.
PBE Games has all of their Generators on One Page. The modern section includes vehicles, cars & trucks, heavy trucks, motorcycles, unusual vehicles, residences and chinese restaurants. Plus Five Card Poke Hands and Seven Card Poker Hands.
For details, RanGen has a Brand Namer for a company. Then fill out company details with an IT Department from Seventh Sanctum. There is also a Wrestling Moves, strange Pizzas, Corporation Name Generator and Moods Generator.
Fantasy Name Generators has some description generators for modern, including Martial Art Descriptions, House Descriptions, and Shotguns (among others). For something random, Springhole.net has a Random Music Band Generator.
Scifi Ideas has a few modern options, with a Building Name Generator, Modern Town Name Generator and Company Name Generator. And their Flag Generator creates a simple visual flat
The Procedural City Generator by ProbableTrain on Itch.io creates a modern looking city to fill the area you choose (or are zoomed in on). It's possible to download a 3d version too.
