Newsletter for April

Duncan Thomson

There's a Rand Roll and Chaos Gen Newsletter sent every month. This is the April version.

Highlighted Gens and Tools

First up is Medieval Settlement Generator by ImportantMechanic. It's in alpha and the aim is to generate a settlement that works.

How to Create Random Tables and Batch Rolls by Matthew Bauer goes through how to create random tables on finalparsec.

Gozzy's Dungeon Map Generator hasn't been mentioned in a while, but it's a great free generator. And you'll find similar ones on gozzys for Cave Maps and Wilderness Maps.

Gamebooks

The 100 Endings Book Club read for April has been Fighting Fantasy by Steve Jackson (UK), with both House of Hell and Creature of Havoc.

In May we've got Steam Highwayman, the open-world series on a steam motorbike in alternative industrial Britain. There's a special offer for the first 3 Steam Highwayman books by the author. Steam Highwayman is my favourite series so I can recommend joining us!

Rand Roll Articles

In Random Tables, there's basic tables for Chaos Solo Engine, covering WildernessSeaDungeon and City

Solo RPGs sees Mythic Bastionland with Juice Oracle closing off of Season 3 of Rolling Solo. The Knights have started with a Catacomb after realm creation.

Finally there a Tools, Titles, Tables update for Fantasy Hinterlands & Villages, and a Gamebook Diaries entry looking at Gamebooks Maps.

Finishing Up

Hope you have some good games.
