Dolmenwood Solo Tables - Non-player Characters
A detailed setting, solid procedures, simple mechanics and a hoard of random tables makes Dolmenwood a great option for solo roleplayers. Enough that I'm doing a solo actual play for Dolmenwood, starting with game intro and characters.
Part of solo play using an emulator such as Mythic, Plot Unfolding Machine or another engine is coming up with ideas. I've been using d20 tables for the Chaos Solo Engine, so I've created some using words tailored to Dolmenwood.
Sometimes you need an NPC that you meet in a tavern, who's part of a faction, a boat passenger, a traveller on the road, the giver of a quest, a rival, a prisoner or a new ally.
And here's some quick descriptor + role tables to get the idea of an NPC.
I'll publish the first version of these, with the plan to later publish them as part of a pdf title.
